Starting from next month, you will need to link a phone number to your Battle.net account to play Overwatch 2, regardless of platform (including console).
Follow these instructions to link your phone number to Battle.net account:
Go to the Battle.net site and log in
Go to the Account section and the Security tab
Click on “Add a phone number” in the Blizzard Authentication box”
Enter your phone number
After receiving the verification code, add it in the corresponding box on the site
If you have completed these steps correctly, congratulations, your phone number is successfully linked to your Battle.net account and you can access Overwatch 2.
You can then activate an Authenticate via an official app on your smartphone. This operation is not required to play Overwatch 2, but it is strongly recommended to protect your account.
The same phone number cannot be used on multiple accounts at the same time. Similarly, it is not possible to create multiple accounts using the same number. A phone number can only be used once when creating a new account. In addition, certain types of numbers (such as prepaid and VOIP numbers) are incompatible with SMS Protection.
