If you are a fan of Shakira and follows her on social media, then you may have come across a series of mysterious posts in recent days. "It wasn't her fault," said the first one, "much less mine," was the second post and "it was the monotony's fault," that of the third. Then, a video of a heart being crushed by a men's shoe was posted.
Now, finally, it all made sense. The singer announced that her next song, the second of 2022, will be called "Monotonia" and will feature Ozuna.
Monotonia will be available to listen on the 19th
of October.

Listen to Shakira's Monotonia
Monotony Lyrics (English Translation)
It wasn't your fault, nor mine
It was the monotony's fault
I never said anything, but it hurt me
Me I knew this would happen
You in yours and doing the same
Always looking for a spotlight
You forgot what we once were
And the worst thing is
It wasn't your fault, nor mine
It was the monotony's fault
I never said anything, but it hurt me
Me knew this would happen
Suddenly you weren't the same
You left me because of your narcissism
You forgot what we once were
Eh eh eh
You distant with your attitude
And it filled me with anxiety
You didn't even give half of it
But I know I gave more than you
I was running for someone
Who wasn't even walking for me
This love didn't die But you're delirious
Of what there was, there's no more
I tell you with sincerity you're cold as Christmas
This better be over now
Don't repeat the movie to me again I've seen this one
Baby I love you but I love myself more
It's a necessary goodbye to what was once amazing It's
become routine
Your lips don't taste like anything to me
Now everything is the opposite
And the worst thing is that
It wasn't your fault, nor mine
It was the monotony's fault
I never said anything, but it hurt me
I knew it would happen
You in yours and doing the same
Always looking for a spotlight
And you forgot what we once were
Eh eh eh
