Unlike many of their peers who decided to burn out in a momentary burst of freshness or disappear in repetitive ignominy, the Walkmen have only sustained to get better. They are quietly making outstanding music and slowly accumulating fans with each record, but never really getting mass recognition and fortune like some of their contemporaries. Their last album Lisbon was the one that they ever got nearer to reaching mainstream success. Which proved that the band knows how to age stylishly, making over their past tattered edge into a great procession of horns, spindly guitar works and spastic drums, all made a great balance set against Hamilton Leithauser's stunning vocal delivery.
The Walkmen will release their seventh studio album HEAVEN on June 04, 2012. The album will contain the following track listing:
