Yves Guillemot, president of Ubisoft has confirmed the movie adaptation of Assassin's Creed is already in production. This production is expected to complete in August this year, but the film will not reach theaters until next Christmas 2016.
So far there have been no details of this film dating back to October 2012 when the French company reached an agreement with New Regency and 20th Century Fox.
It seems that Michael Fassbender will remain the protagonist, and Justin Kurzel will be the lead actor. At the moment it is unknown whether it will adapt a story of one of the games or bet on something new within the universe of the series. Guillemot confirmed that, if all goes well, we will see the adaptation on December 21, 2016.
