Tom Cruise may Star in One Shot Movie Adaptation

Hollywood film star Tom Cruise is currently in talks with Paramount Pictures to star the lead role in a big-screen adaptation of “One Shot”, which is the 9th book in the Jack Reacher series written by British author Lee Child. 1996 Academy Award winner Christopher McQuarrie is on board to direct the movie adaptation, and it will probably hit theaters sometime during 2013.

Tom Cruise,One Shot, movie, lee child The story begins with a horrifying killing as five innocent people are gunned down by a sniper as they leave work in Indiana, and the blame rests on a former military man “James Barr” trained as a sniper. He says very little to anyone apart from making one important request to his lawyer, "Get Jack Reacher for me."

But Jack Reacher's already on his way, having seen the story on the news. Surprisingly though, he isn't coming to assist James. In fact, he's coming to fulfill a promise he made to him. But he soon realizes that there's more going on here than first meets the eye, and he decides to find out what it is.
