The Great Gatsby movie adaptation set to hit theaters in 2012

The movie adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s best selling novel “The Great Gatsby” is currently in production. Baz Luhrmann will direct his screenplay while Leonardo DiCaprio will cast the lead role of Jay Gatsby, Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan, Joel Edgerton as Tom Buchanan, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway, Isla Fisher as Myrtle Wilson and the Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan will play as Meyer Wolfsheim. The Great Gatsby movie is scheduled for release on May 10, 2013 by Warner Bros. and will be available in 3D and 2D.

The Great Gatsby tells the narrative of Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio). It begins few years before the events of this tale; Gatsby met and fell in love with a woman named Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan). But he was enlisted in the Army and was forced to fight in WWI. Buchanan did not wait for Gatsby to return, she met and married Tom Buchannan (Joel Edgerton). Few years later, Gatsby, now a well-off man who’s still in love with Daisy bought his house in New York, very near where Daisy lives. In the meantime, Gatsby’s neighbor Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) attended one of his gatherings. They meet and soon become friends. upcoming, movie, Leonardo DiCaprio, The Great Gatsby One day Gatsby requests Carraway to arrange a reunion with Daisy. During the reunion she recognizes Gatsby and falls back in love with him. Shortly, Tom finds out their affair and is annoyed by his wife's unfaithfulness, although he is already having a relationship with a woman. Subsequently, he gathers some friends comprising of Carraway and Daisy to go with him to a hotel to meet Gatsby. There, he blames him of making his wealth unlawfully. Trying to prove he cannot harm him, Tom returns her to East Egg with Gatsby. On their way back Gatsby's car got into an accident and killed Wilson earlier. Carraway then finds out from Gatsby that Daisy was in fact driving the vehicle when it killed Wilson but he wants to take the charge. But Carraway wrongly tells Wilson’s husband (Jason Clarke), that Gatsby ran over her. He killed Gatsby believing that they had a relationship. However, he also commits suicide. Carraway is the only one left to arrange Gatsby's memorial service and after doing so, he returns to West, sickened by the life in New York.
