Warner Home Video has officially announced that “The Hangover Part 2” will be available on DVD / Blu-ray Combo plus Digital Copy on December 06, 2011.
The Hangover Part 2 brings back some of the main characters from the original movie including Justin Bartha as Doug, Ed Helms as Stu, Zach Galifianakis as Alan and Bradley Cooper as Phil. The Hangover Part 2 picks up two years later where Stu is getting married to Lauren (Jamie Chung) in Thailand. Stu and other two cleverly decide not to invite Alan long because of what happened in Vegas. However, they change their minds when Alan finds out their plan. Once in Thailand, they decide to have small bachelor party along with Stu’s fiancee’s little brother Teddy (Mason Lee). The following morning, they wake up in a Bangkok hotel room and stumble on themselves in a surprisingly familiar situation. This time, Teddy goes missing.
Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms are both hilarious and Zack Galifianakis is witty as he was in the original, it certainly feels like he has a lot more to do this time around as does Ken Jeong as Mr. Chow.
This film may not be as great as the original, but what it lacks in freshness it more than makes up for in this sequel. The thing is that anybody who has ever drunk alcohol a lot knows that it always looks like you make the same fault but with different results and to me that’s where this film succeeds.
