Tucker and Dale Fight Evil finally comes to DVD/BD in November

Nearly two years after getting a limited theatrical release, Magnolia Home Entertainment will be releasing Eli Craig’s critically acclaimed comedy horror film “Tucker & Dale Fight Evil” on DVD and Blu-ray on November 29, 2011. Both Discs will contain extra features including audio commentary with Alan Tudyk, Tyler Labine and director Eli Craig. The DVD will be available for the price of US$26.98 and the Blu-ray will be available for the price of US$29.98.

The film tells the story of Tucker (played by Alan Tudyk) and Dale (played by Tyler Labine) put their hard earned money into purchasing a new getaway house out by a remote lake, and plan to spend some time fishing and drinking beer. While out there they see a young college girl slip and accidentally falls into the lake. When they reach to save her, her friends run away. They think that she’s been captured by two hillbillies psychos. As they attempt to hit Dale and Tucker, they end up dying in strange and horrific ways.

Even though the idea of the film is being based on one lengthy running funny story of a huge misunderstanding, the narrative stays fresh and the scenes extremely humorous for the greater part. The casting is superb; the plot is very well done and executed. If you are a fan of say the Drag Me To Hell or Doghouse, then give this film a try. It will certainly blow you and may even earn a good spot on your shelf.
