The first season of the critically acclaimed HBO fantasy drama series “Game of Thrones” is scheduled for release on DVD and Blu-ray on March 06, 2012. “Game of Thrones” TV drama is created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss based on the series of best selling books by George R.R. Martin. The DVD and Blu-ray releases will contain special features such as Complete Guide to Westeros, Making Game of Thrones, Character Profiles, Creating the Show Open and many more.
The story set in the Seven Kingdoms sheltered by an eight hundred foot wall. That was built to prevent the deadly creatures “White Walkers” that are believed to appear from the woods during cruel, decade long, winters. But no one has seen them and most people think of creatures as just myth. However, in the first few scenes we see they are not.
The majority of the series concerns three families. The unfriendly but noble Ned Starks played by Sean Bean, The Lannisters played by Lena Headley and the other family is a brother and sister played by Dany and Viserys Targaryen.
The series does have a complex storyline so if you miss an episode it's better to try and catch up by actually watching what you've missed.
