Saint Etienne is one of the most talented British bands of the last two-decade. From record to record, the band change their musical style like a chameleon changes its colors - and every change can be valued in a different way. They have released seven studio albums and some collection CDs in that time. In the early 90s, they were one of the few groups that began the Britpop movement. While they were nothing like Suede and company, they still stand out. Saint Etienne were the only new indie trio that mixed French pop with northern soul and dance music. Their records Good Humour and Sound of Water were great achievements. Their last album Tales from Turnpike House was almost an electro record. They have attracted people who like dance music.
Saint Etienne will drop their eight studio album Words and Music on May 21, 2012 and the band will embark on UK tour in support of their new album, and the tour will feature special guest artists such as Stereo Venus, Lightships, Edgar Jones, Colorama, Summer Camp and 2 Bears DJ set.
