San Diego Studio has teamed up with Zindagi Games once again to deliver the 2nd installment of their highly praised video game “Sports Champions” for PlayStation 3. It will feature several new sports such as golf, boxing, tennis, skiing and bowling, and will also feature a new mode called Party Play. Sports Champions 2 is currently in development, and is expected to hit store shelves during the 4th quarter of 2012.
The first game is the default PlayStation 3 Move game that comes with the PS3 Move Starter Bundle. It is mainly a series of contests among a team of contemporary athlete avatars in a range of sports. You can use the same avatar in all of the games and your rivals are always the rest of the team. There are slight modifications for equipment and garments, but the PC's are pretty fixed. There are several games for you to choose from Beach Volleyball, Archery, Gladiator Duel, Disc Golf, Table Tennis and Bocce, and some games have upgrades that you can unlock as you advance. It is fairly basic, as you'd anticipate from a first game out with a new technology. It's there to give you a taste of how the new console works.
