Assassin's Creed 3 (AC3) Heading to PC and Consoles this fall

Ubisoft has announced the release of the third installment (Limited Edition) of their critically acclaimed Assassin's Creed (AC) game franchise for North America on October 30, 2012 for the PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360, and the PC version will come out later this year.

AC is one of the newer series on the scene. With the release of their original title came a considerable following and given a great treatment for a popular video game: huge holiday sales and enough funds to make several installments. The series is fascinating in that, for such a young brand, it already has an extensive fan base. We have seen this before with series like Crash Bandicoot. The games are popular in the beginning, and then the creators become blinded to the attributes of the first game that gave them the recognition in the first place.

We can only wish that AC 3 doesn't fall into this same unsuccessful developer model. Mainly, they will have to know when enough is enough. AC 3 will undoubtedly be one of the best performers this holiday season. The storytelling and gameplay, definitely the graphics, will be first-rate.
