I've been following LBT since the drop of their self titled debut album and have been a devoted fan since. They bring something novel to contemporary music that is the ideal tapestry of lyrics and instrumentation. Little Big Town's 2-male, 2-female lineup lays a great 4-set of rich, tangled, and layered harmonies atop punchy country-rock songs that bring to mind Fleetwood Mac at their best. It's been quite a while since I’ve heard anything new from them.
LBT is currently working on their next album “Tornado”, scheduled for release on September 11, 2012 through Capitol Nashville records. "Pontoon" was released as the first single from the album. It showcases comprehensive instrumentation, stuffed with individual musical thrives that manage to create an exclusively tuneful harmony. Karen Fairchild’s lead vocal really rocks on this track!
