The best thing about films that enter the realm of superheroes is that nothing is over the top. Anything goes, and that is exactly why I read them on a regular basis while growing up. Apart from Hollywood's everlasting quest to reproduce every film from the past several decades, movie makers have been in an unreformed superhero mode since the early twenties, cranking out favorites from X-Men to Avengers. Consequently every slightly successful comic or graphic novel one can imagine has been adapted for a film. In my opinion I think it's a good thing, as there are many innovative graphic novels that have yet to enjoy life on the big screen. Most comic fans have their wish list of favorites they'd like to see those characters come to life.
Kick-Ass 2 is one of those movies based on comic book series created by John Romita Jr. and Mark Millar, and is a follow up to the 2010 film Kick-Ass. The first film was hilarious, exciting and refreshing. After the success of the first movie, fans have eagerly anticipated a sequel. While the first movie’s brutality and language caused much debate, the follow-up promises to be even worst and the writer of the comic books affirmed that the follow-up would be controversial and that “every dreadful scene in the book will be in the movie.”
