Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters comes to DVD/BD in June, extras

If you are looking for a creepy, action-packed film to watch in the comfort of your living room this summer, then Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters is for you. Paramount’s Home Media Distribution will release the film on DVD, Blu-ray and 3D Blu-ray on June 11, 2013, and the digital distribution will be available on May 21, 2013.

The film was co-scripted and directed by Tommy Wirkola and features an ensemble cast: Jeremy Renner as Hansel, Cedric Eich as young Hansel, Gemma Arterton as Gretel, Alea Sophia Boudodimos as young Gretel and Famke Janssen as Muriel.

The story follows Hansel and Gretel (H&G), two which hunters, almost one and a half decades after they had the gingerbread house occurrence. Both of them are now witch hunters who have devoted their lives to wipe out evil witches. Through the years, they have become skilled hunters who are famous for catching and destroying witches. Even though they are still recovering from the past incident, they find their work very easy as for reasons strange to them dangerous curses and spells do not work very well against them.  One day, the town’s mayor seeks their assistance to find missing children because he assumed local evil witches must have captured them for evil purposes. H&G are very good at their work and enjoy it. They soon learn that the children have been captured for a blood moon sacrifice. They must save the children before it's too late.
