Milla Jovovich returns once again as Alice in Resident Evil 6 (RE6)

As far as films based on video games go, the Resident Evil (RE) series stands apart because it is the most financially successful video game-movie series in history. It has spawned five installments and all of them written and directed by Paul WS Anderson with the help of his wife, actress Milla Jovovich (Alice). She is one of the few characters in the franchise who has lived long enough to be in all RE movies. She has also demonstrated her acting versatility in other, serious movies, such as “The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc” Thus, she can bring a level of drama and skill to these otherwise tasteless movies, like no other. With her gorgeous but unsettling stare, you cannot help but consider her as something deviant and a formidable force to be reckoned with. She someway makes the implausible plausible, and her un-daunting strength is what glues us to our seats. Since she is happy starring in minor but serious roles, while continuing to make a bunch on RE," we should see her for some time to come.

Screen Gems has confirmed that the sixth RE movie is in the works and that Milla Jovovich will return to reprise her role as Alice. Paul Anderson, who's also been attached to the series, will direct. The film is set to start shooting this fall for a September 12, 2012 release.
