Jack The Giant Slayer now on DVD, BD, 3D-BD with extras

Warner Bros. Pictures’ latest 3D film Jack the Giant Slayer is a fantasy adventure film base on two popular fairy tales "Jack and the Beanstalk" and “Jack the Giant Killer". It was released in March 2013 and directed by Bryan Jay Singer, the maker of X-Men. It stars Nicholas Hoult as Jack, Eleanor Tomlinson as Isabelle, Stanley Tucci as Lord Roderick and Ian McShane as King Brahmwell.

The film features characters that most children are aware of even if they do have different names in the film, and we have seen numerous versions of these fairy-tales exist in almost every format of entertainment imaginable. The latest version is very predictable and cheesy but it's overall a great film to watch with your family. There is a considerable amount of people getting killed but it's all mostly implied and the whole story is very light hearted.

The story follows young Jack who is trusted with a task to trade stuff for money, but he returns home with some mystical beans. The mystical powers of the beans are unleashed sending Jack's house, and accidentally the King's daughter Isabelle, up to a legendary land of giants via a gigantic beanstalk. King organizes a team to save his daughter lead by his elite guard Elmont, Lord Roderick and Jack who volunteers to join the team.

If you missed this film in theaters, you’ll be able to catch it when Warner Bros. release it on DVD, Blu-ray, Blu-ray 3D and digital download on June 18, 2013. Extra features / bonus materials set to be included on Jack the Giant Slayer’s home video releases are listed below:
