It is a rude awakening for many PS3 owners who have updated their consoles with the latest firmware (4:45). According to 79-page entry in the official PlayStation forum all PS3 console hangs after installing the Home screen. A regular start-up is impossible and the console is unusable. Now Sony announced Via Twitter that they have withdrawn the update for the time being and work on a solution. Some users report that the console can still start in safe mode.
A media report stating that all consoles are not affected by this update, but the reason for this still remains unclear. One thing is certain: after all hype about their new console Playstation 4, Sony may loose their fan base if they did not fix this issue soon.
