The Little Prince will get a Film Treatment once again

The Little Prince is being adapted once again for the big screen. Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic children book has been translated into over 250 languages since it was published in 1943. This time THE LITTLE PRINCE film will be in CG-animated and set for release on July 19, 2014.

The film is currently in production with several actors have singed on to voice the characters. Among them are James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Jeff Bridges, Marion Cotillard, Benicio Del Toro and Paul Giamatti.

The director of Kung Fu Panda, Mark Osborne is onboard to direct the adaptation while the Paramount Pictures is currently negotiating for distribution rights.

The Little Prince tells the story of a pilot whose aircraft crashes in the Sahara desert in Africa where he stumbles upon a person who claims to be a prince, coming from another planet, while he is working to fix his plane, he hears about prince’s past and various expeditions throughout the solar system.
