Singer will play Mia, sister of the protagonist Christian Grey.
The singer and song-writer Rita Ora will join the cast of the highly anticipated film “50 Shades of Grey”, based on the acclaimed book series of the same name. She will play the character Mia, adopted sister of the protagonist Christian Grey.
"It's official! Went to @ FiftyShades escalation of Grey as a Christian sister, Mia," wrote the singer on her Twitter last night.
Despite being the first leading role, this will be the debut of Rita Ora on the big screen. In 2004 she worked at the British crime film Spivs and last year made a cameo in the long-sixth the Fast and Furious series.
Starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, 50 Shades of Grey will start filming this week and is expected to release in theaters in the first half of 2015.
