Gmail: How to avoid receiving emails from G+ strangers

The Google has introduced a new feature that allows users to send messages to Gmail Google+ contacts. This feature, however, did not please the users concerned about privacy. If you are one of those who do not wish to receive emails from "strangers", learn how to disable the function.

Step 1. Open your Gmail account;

Step 2. Click the gear icon in the top right corner and select "Settings" from the menu;

Step 3. Within the Settings page, look for the section that says "Email via Google+";

Step 4. Click the New dropdown next to "Who can send email through your profile menu to Google+ ? ".

There, you can choose one of four options: "Anyone on Google+", "extended circles", "circles" or "nobody".

Make your selections and then click "save" changes at the bottom of the page.

Ready! Now you no longer need to worry about emails from strangers crowding your inbox. But before you turn, remember that Gmail now has automatic filter messages: emails from contacts that are already in your circles will go to your main box, while of those who are not in any of the circles go to the folder "social" Gmail.
