After Slipknot announce the departure of Joey Jordison, drummer spoke for the first time about his departure from the band.
In a note published by Facebook, indicates that the musician did not leave the band willingly and also said he was caught off guard, as well as their fans. "I would like to start the New Year talking about the recent rumors and speculation about my departure from Slipknot. I want to make it clear that I did not leave Slipknot," he wrote.
Jordison also added, "This band has been my life for the past 18 years, and I never leave nor my fans. This news shocked me and surprised me so much about you. There's a lot I want to say, but I remain silent at this time,".
Late last year, frontman Corey Taylor stated that the departure of Joey Jordison be explained hereafter, and that he could not reveal more details of the matter to protect the band and drummer himself.
