One of the most unusual encounters of recent pop music history happened last Saturday (22) when Miley Cyrus called Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips for a cameo during the "Bangerz Tour" in Los Angeles. The song they sang was the classic "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (Part 1) "2002.
Since 1987 the Flaming Lips made material not easily classified, marked by strong psychedelic accent. They approach them with pop idols. In the past decade the band had the presence of Justin Timberlake on stage at the British TV show "Top of the Pops" to help in the dubbing of the same "Yoshimi". More recently, Ke$ha also recorded some tracks with the band.
