Watch: International music celebrities who enjoy Brazilian Carnival

Madonna, PSY, Pitbull and Bono are some of the stars who have enjoyed the one that is the most popular event in the country.

It is true that the Brazilian carnival is a must see attraction for people around the world. In addition to the anonymous tourists, the country also receives numerous celebrities who love to hear the sound and enjoy the excitement and revelry of the streets, trios and parades of samba schools.

Check out some of the most popular artists in the music industry who have been here at the carnival.

PSY

The Korean phenomenon PSY, who dominated the world for months with his "Gangnam Style", visited the country last year and attended the carnival. During his stay, he still went to Rio de Janeiro to watch traditional city schools parades and Claudia Leitte’s show in Salvador.


Will Smith

Also last year, the actor and singer Will Smith was in Rio de Janeiro and caused a stir when he appeared on the balcony of his hotel during the street band parade. The Hollywood star was joined by Kanye West, Kim Kardashian and singer Naldo.


Pitbull

Rapper / singer Pitbull not only he visited the carnival here in 2012, but also performed his major hits. The show was sponsored by VEVO site and broadcasted around the world live.


Madonna

During her flirtation with model Jesus Luz, Madonna also visited Rio de Janeiro. The Queen of Pop was invited to a special brand of beers and watched the parade of the Marquis de Sapucahy with her family.

In 2006, U2 attended the Gilberto Gil in Salvador and the lead singer Bono also sang a duet with Brazilian musician singing "No Woman No Cry."
