Deep Purple will return to Brazil in November

The Deep Purple, one of the greatest hard rock bands in history, will return to Brazil for a series of concerts in November. According to journalist José Norberto, tour dates and locations will be revealed later.

Emerged in the second half of the 60s, the Deep Purple had its best time between the years 1970 and 1972

It was then that classic albums as "In Rock" and "Machine Head" and equally striking singles like "Smoke On The Water" were released the second incarnation of the band (called by fans of Mark II).

The current lineup of Deep Purple has three founding members: vocalist Ian Gillan, bassist Roger Glover and drummer Ian Paice.

Besides the trio, the band also features guitarist Steve Morse replaced Richie Blackmore
- in 1994 and the keyboardist Don Airey replaced Jon Lord in 2002.

This will be the The Deep Purple’s 11th visit to the country since 1990.

Listen to the current lineup of the band playing "Smoke On The Water" on a live show in 2013.
