As commander of XOF group in the '70s and the Parasite-unit represents in the 80s Skullface is a serious threat for the Diamond Dogs in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. But who is behind the mysterious man whose body and face is covered with terrible scars?

MGS 5 - The Phantom Pain: Who's Skull Face?

Much is not known about the man with the scar. He was born as a child of factory workers in a small village in Hungary. His childhood was ever interrupted by the bombing of the arms factory, where his parents worked. In the chaos he was trampled by panicked fleeing people. In Inferno he was also doused boiling oil, which led to his severe burns and injuries to the whole body. Many deformities and nerve damage were the result, which were additionally aggravated by subsequent torture.

A Ghost without a Past

Skull Face is extremely dangerous and is characterized by ruthlessness and sadism. This he proves during the events in MGS 5: Ground Zeroes, where he’s on the Omega Base long torments Paz Ortega and Chico and tortured until he gets the information he wants. His interrogation methods were given the possibility of members of Big Boss to feel 'MSF (Militaires Sans Frontieres). He always wears a trench coat and a cowboy hat, reminiscent of a villain from the Wild West. As a weapon he uses a sawed-off shotgun.

Previous trailer and presentations by MGS 5: The Phantom Pain show that Skullface will play an important role. So you see it, for example, accompanied by heavily armed troops on the Mother Base. At one point you can see him in the backseat of a jeep with Big Boss in Afghanistan. Later, he eventually reaches a hangar with a Metal Gear therein. He also threatened in a scene Huey Emmerich. His true intentions, we will probably find out only when the Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain releases on September 1 for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
