While the season 7 of The Vampire Diaries is in full swing, The CW has released the trailer for episode 16, titled Days of Future Past. Stefan will face a difficult choice.
The next episode will take place three years after the scene where Damon rests in a coffin. Stefan will have the choice between saving his skin, or his brother. Rayna offers to this dilemma and it could be that Stefan eventually accepts the first option.
In the trailer, Stefan seems to adhere to the act of releasing Damon. He answers yes to the question posed by Rayna. Damon will be on his side with Valerie. Enzo will try to find out why Matt Rayna released into the wild. This episode 16 should clarify the fans on the different sequences of flashbacks seen previously.
The latest rumors suggest, the series could stop at the end of season 7. In an interview with E Online , the producer Julie Plec had indicated that she would draw a definitive line on the vampire series, starting Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) and Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore).
