Doomfist and Mauga buffs, changes in Overwatch 2 Season 8

After much anticipation, Overwatch 2 Season 8 has finally available to play. In addition to bringing in Mauga as the new tank hero, most of the heroes have received an overall overhaul. In this article, we’ll share all Doomfist and Mauga new changes in this season.

Doomfist

Now, when in the air, Doomfist meteor strike ultimate replenishes 75 health every second. You can regain up to 300 HP by staying in the air for a maximum of 4 seconds. Now, that gives it a significant boost but there will be a 16% rise in the final cost.

Rather to use an ultimate power like Meteor Strike to defeat his enemies, it's often more useful to keep it for an escape route and use it to obtain a health pack. Doomfist will now heal itself while the targeting phase is ongoing so that it can be used more offensively.

Mauga

Mauga is also playable in the Overwatch 2 Season 8 update. He was made playable about a month ago during the BlizzCon weekend and players tested him for about three days. They discovered that he was quite weak, so now they greatly improved him.

Mauga, Buffs, Changes, Overwatch 2, Season 8

- First, his base health is dropped from 500 to 350, but in its place, 150 armor is added, increasing it from 0 to 150.

- Another significant buff is that the hit box surrounding his head is also reduced by 15%, making it more difficult for opponents to headshot you.

- The over-health conversion rate for his Passive Berserker has been raised from 40% to 50%.

- There is a 15% reduction in the spread for using both volatile and incendiary chainguns.

- The fire rate multiplier for firing both guns simultaneously is being reduced from 25% to 0%.

- There is an increase in damage per shot from 4.5 to 5. Damage Falloff from Range has been extended to 30 meters from 25 meters. Because of that buff, your damage won't start scaling down until you're further away.

- Additionally, the maximum ammo has been raised from 300 to 350 rounds.

- He will now get only 15% movement speed penalty per gun instead of 20%. That's a buff because it allows him to move a bit more quickly while firing.

- The damage reduction during running has been increased from 30% to 50%, and hack is no longer able to interrupt overrun.

- Lastly, the lifesteal on his Cardiac Overdrive ability has been raised from 60% to 70%.

So this will help him to last longer in a fight.
