Ice Age: Continental Drift is the latest installment in the Ice Age series with return of sub-zero heroes (Manny, Ellie, Diego, Sid, Crash and Eddie) and Scrat. This gang is joined by new characters including Manny's wife, their daughter, Granny and more. The film is directed by Steve Martino and co-directed by Mike Thurmeier based on script by Michael Berg and Jason Fuchs.
Back in 2002, the first movie focused on the friendship between Manny, Sid and Diego. With the original movie focusing on the relocation of the animals to keep away from the Ice Age, the second one features the melting of the ice and focuses on Manny finding Ellie and the third one focuses on Manny and Ellie’s family life and Scrat’s new love interest.
This time around for the fourth film "Ice Age: Continental Drift", Sid is joined with his family, who just wanted to leave his granny with him and vanish. The group, in their effort to join up Manny with his family, bumps into evil Captain Gutt. They venture off with his boat after defeating his crew, only to run into him once more.
If you're looking for an animated film that looks stunning on 3D Blu-Ray and contain plentiful special features, then "Ice Age: Continental Drift" is a highly recommended purchase.
