New Samsung smartphones get Android 7.0 nougat update

The US mobile operator T-Mobile has revealed a list of Samsung smartphones, which are intended for an update to Android 7.0 nougat.

Samsung planned traditional silent Android updates. However, the US mobile operator T-Mobile has revealed the secret and published a list of Samsung smartphones that are in the line for Android 7.0 nougat update. Among them are unsurprisingly the top smartphones Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S7 (Edge) and its predecessors Galaxy S6 and Galaxy 5.

However, T-Mobile does not reveal when the updates will appear,. All update are according to T-Mobile still in the development phase. However, Samsung is likely to give priority to its latest model Glaxy Note 7. The smartphone was spotted with a beta version of Android 7.0 in several benchmarks.

What about the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S5 and mini Galaxy S5 ? All three smartphones will receive no official update to Android 7.0. These models came in the trade more than two years ago, usually Samsung will not provide updates after this period. Also for the Galaxy Tab S the marshmallow-update is expected to be the last update.

On the other hand, owners of Galaxy A3 (2016), Galaxy A5 (2016), Galaxy S5 Neo and Galaxy Tab S2 may receive nougat update later.
