In Pokémon GO, you must decide from Level 5 one of three possible teams. Team Instinct (Yellow), Team Valor (red) and Team Mystic (blue).

What are the differences among the teams of Pokémon GO?

All three teams differ only in appearance, leader and mascot. Playful advantages or disadvantages bring nothing to the team - at least not immediately, but more on that later.

Which team should I choose in Pokémon GO?

If you play the Pokémon GO just to have fun, then select the team that you like most. You may draw your decision, for example, based on your favorite color or perhaps you like a particular leader.

If you play the game for the win, the team selection is important because of your Map. Do you see it, for example, many gyms that are occupied by blue groups, then you chose the blue team in Mystic. Of course, conquered gyms can be recaptured by other teams, but at the beginning this is a very good indicator to check which team dominated their own environment.

When playing together with friends, then best you speak with each other and select the team, in which you have the most buddies.

Can you subsequently change the team in Pokémon GO?

The team selection in Pokémon GO cannot be undone, so you should firm your selection of the team at the beginning. It's likely that the team change will not be included in future updates, because it could suffer balancing the game.
