Video Music Awards 2013 with live transmission from Brooklyn, New York took place last night. The ceremony included the expected return of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry and the unexpected reunion of * NSYNC, who returned after a decade away from the stage.

The boyband short performance was led by Justin Timberlake, who was honored with the special award Michael Jackson Video Vanguard for his body of work.

Among the winners of the night, stood the singer himself, who took three awards including the Best Video of the Year, and the duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who also won three awards: Cinematography, Best Hip Hop Video and Best Video with a Social Message

Taylor Swift also won in the category Best Female Video and used her speech to snipe her supposed inspiration for the band: Harry Styles from One Directio. "... I also wanted to thank the person who inspired this song, you know who you are, and because of you I now have one of these! said Taylor while taking her award”.
